This guide will help you find the Children of Danu Locations and unlock the mythical spear Asfinn in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids.
Just like the hunt for members of The Order, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first expansion Wrath of the Druids will also task Eivor with pursuing and ending a deadly threat. Ireland’s peace is at risk of being destabilised by the Children of Danu, and only Eivor can stop the cult from running wild.
Unlike the hunt for The Order members though, finding the Children of Danu locations and then eliminating them is a much more manageable side-quest that will see you search for clues to the locations of the cult’s ten leaders.
Some Children of Danu locations will be revealed during the course of the expansion, while others will require you to do some investigating off the beaten path. It’s worth tackling this quest though, as Eivor will be able to claim a mighty new weapon for their arsenal once it has been completed. Here’s where you can find each cultist member.
NOTE: There are some spoilers below regarding the story of Wrath of the Druids.

Where to find The Wren in Wrath of the Druids
The first target in the Children of Danu quest will come as part of the Potion of Blood mission. Tasked with finding a special amber to brew a cure for the poison that King Flann’s men have been stricken with, Eivor has to hunt down The Wren. The first clue can be found in an abandoned cottage on the shore outside Port Auley in the northern Connacht region, which can be located at this point in the map.
Go inside the cottage, and you’ll spot a letter on a pile of sacks. You’ll be directed next to a small island in Lough Gara near Rathcroghan, which can be found here:
The note can be found on a crate next to the rune stone:
With the Wren revealed to be Niamh the poet, you can find her spreading misinformation in Rathcroghan in Connacht.
Niamh is usually escorted by her personal guard, and once she has been assassinated, Eivor will uncover another clue pointing them in the direction of another cultist.
Where to find The Cursed in Wrath of the Druids
After you’ve delivered the first amber shard to Deirdre, Eivor can then start the hunt for The Cursed. Your first stop will be in Tuam, a village in western Connacht.
At the village, grab the key on the window ledge from this cottage:
Next, make your way to the locked hut and retrieve the note inside there:
Eivor will then have to make their way into a cave which can be found just past the town’s central effigy. You’ll need to get past the blocked door by throwing an explosive oil jar at it, fight a bear, and get past another locked door by going through this point at the top:
Once the cultists inside have been dealt with and a prisoner freed, you can meet with Ciara at the southwest entrance to Tuam. The Cursed can be found near Carnagan, and her position will be marked on the map as you explore a Children of Danu ritual site and fight more cultists, including a deadly Puca.
Where to find The Deer in Wrath of the Druids
Your first clue as to the location and identity of The Deer can be found in the Ardmel trading post in eastern Ulster, just east of Lough Beg at this point on the map:
Once cleared, the vital information can be found near some pots on the small dock:
Now identified, you can find Ruaidri at the Ulster port of Inch Lough Neagh. There’s a restricted area here where Raidri moves around, protected by a number of his guards.
If you fail to assassinate him the camp, he’ll make a run for it to the nearby woods but he’s not fast enough to escape Eivor and their blades.
Eliminate the cultist and another clue leading to the next member of the Children of Danu will be yours.
Where to find The Spider in Wrath of the Druids
The Spider is one of the easier cultists to track down, with the first step in Eivor’s hunt beginning with a drinking contest in Dublin.
Defeat the local champion there, and your next clue can be found at Dublin’s tallest tree. You can find this landmark easily enough, as it just so happens to be the tree where the nearby altar is marked on your map. Head there, and you’ll see a letter on the bench facing the tree:
The Spider is then revealed to be AIdeen, a local merchant.
She has no security to worry about, so all you have to do is walk up and eliminate her while she patrols the Dublin markets.
Where to find The Seed in Wrath of the Druids
During the Wages of War storyline, Eivor will be tasked with assassinating another Children of Danu member as part of the main campaign.
At this point you’ll have two clues to follow up on. The first is to investigate Movilla Abbey on the upper bay of Ulster’s eastern peninsula. The second clue will tell you that The Seed can be found in Dunseverick Fortress, at this location:
If you’re feeling brave, you can take a frontal assault path into the fortress to face The Seed and his men. Once identified, you’ll be looking to kill “Becc Mac, He of the Oceans.”
Once eliminated, it’ll be time to resume the hunt once again.
Where to find Eogan Mac Cartaigh in Wrath of the Druids
Another quick and possibly unsurprising reveal comes during the mission A Scourging of Snakes. Revealed as the leader of the Children of Danu, this is a straight forward mission to overthrow Ireland’s abbot, the siege of the Armagh fortress eventually ends with Eogan dead and a few other loose ends to be tie up before this quest resolves itself.
Where to find The Ash in Wrath of the Druids
The first clue leading to The Ash can be found in druidic ritual site on the hill midway between Lough Rea and Lough Tuam in Connacht:
It’s not too difficult to find, as the note is resting on a pile of rocks at this location:
The second clue will lead you to the Kiltober synchronisation point, where a small gathering of druids have appeared at the base of the mountain:
Defeat the Children of Danu here and you’ll be given the location of The Ash. In the Connacht region, The Ash inhabits the Kesh Corann cave:
Make your way through the cave, and you’ll eventually encounter the cultist at the rear of his lair.
Where to find The Blaze in Wrath of the Druids
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire and The Blaze, as the Children of Danu have a serial arsonist in their midst. Your first clue will be to investigate the gravesite near the waterfall in Bally na Gall, a burned village along the Bann river in southeast Ulster:
Clear out the wild wolves, and head to the graveyard where you’ll see the next clue on top of a freshly-dug grave:
It’s time to investigate some more arson, and head to the burned houses between Black Pig’s Dyke and Clogher in southern Ulster:
The key note that reveals The Blaze to be can be found on a table in a burned out hut:
Once read, you’ll discover that Conlae of the Flames isn’t too far away from the scene of his latest crime, and is wandering around a road nearby in Ulster:
Conlae is a short sprint away, and can be found walking the road with his Irish wolfhound. Eliminate them, and there’ll be just two more cultists left to take care of:
Where to find The Mist in Wrath of the Druids
Head on over to Doon Daven stone circle in northern Ulster, which is just west of the Slaney river:
Once there you’ll have to deal with more cultists, their hallucinogenic mists and a werewolf. Clear the area, and the next clue is on the altar underneath the morbid effigy:
What you’ll be looking for next is a decaying boat run aground in the Ulster peninsula, near the Foyne Reservoir:
The note leading to The Mist’s location can be found here, on an altar where a bird was sacrificed:
From here, you’re off to the rocky shore of in Ulster’s western bay northwest of Foyne Reservoir. The Mist is busy performing one of his rituals at this location:
Once defeated, only more cultist remains.
Where to find The Whisperin Wrath of the Druids
The first clue to your final target, The Whisper, can be found at Boyne Tombs west of the Rathdown trading post. This clue isn’t in the actual tomb, but can be found on top of it, guarded by several cultists who have set up camp on the grassy knoll.
Once the druids have been defeated, you can find a letter on a pile of crates here:
Your next destination will be a stone ritual circle near the small harbour along the Boyne river in Meath:
Head to the ritual site, check the stone altar and the final clue will reveal The Whisper to be Leasleach, madwoman of the bogs. Leasleach isn’t too far away and can be found wandering the Meath swamp at this point:
She’s not too difficult an opponent, and you can easily sneak up on her to deliver a killing blow as she has no guards with her.
Once The Whisper has been dealt with, you’ll have officially completed the Children of Danu quest, and it’ll be time to head back to Deirdre’s hut for your reward.
Hand over all the blood amber that you’ve collected, and the druidess will brew a potion that transports Eivor to the realm of Balor. Defeat the old god, and Eivor can claim the mythical spear Asfinn, a deadly weapon that calls down lightning on any foes struck by it.
