How To Start 'The Nameless Village' Quest
Upon reaching Vernworth in Dragon's Dogma 2, Captain Brant presents you with several quests related to the impostor Arisen sitting on the throne, including investigating rumors about this False Sovran from a northeastern village. Meeting Captain Brant at the Starlight Inn and selecting the dialogue option, "Tell me of the False Sovran," unveils suspicions of covert payments to Arthur for sweet Crownflowers exclusive to a distant eastern village in Vermund.
Despite this lead's speculative nature, accepting the quest adds 'The Nameless Village' to your quest log, which is integral to the main storyline. Given its distance from Dragon's Dogma 2's starting locations, use your quest journal's 'prioritize quest' feature. This action highlights the village's approximate location in yellow on your map.
How To Reach The Nameless Village
The Village's Precise Location
Brant indicates that your destination, situated at the far eastern edge of the map, requires a considerable journey, one not serviced by Oxcarts. Before heading out, ensure your party is well-rested and equipped for the journey ahead. To reach the Nameless Village in Dragon's Dogma 2, exit Vernworth via the northern path and stick to the main road.
After crossing the initial bridge, head east at the fork, continuing until you encounter another divergence, then proceed south over a second bridge. From this junction, whether you choose north or south, aim for the bridge that unites these paths on the far side. Cross this bridge and follow the eastern road directly to the Nameless Village.
For those open to a brief detour, venturing off the main path reveals a Seeker’s Token. Keep an eye out for this item, as it can be traded for prizes and rewards at any Guild Hall.
You will encounter a huge, dark-haired Minotaur wielding a club. This creature behaves similarly to a bull, charging at its targets and capable of sending you flying with its powerful club swings.
After defeating this beast in DD2, proceed to the rear of the wooded area and ascend the rocks. At the top, you will find a hidden path, guiding you straight to The Nameless Village. Upon entry, a cryptic caution greets you at the gate, marked by a merchant's forewarning against venturing into the village, signaling your arrival.
By proceeding to the inn, you'll encounter whispered conversations hinting at something unusual within the village, alongside a collective unfamiliarity with Arthur, the alleged False Sovran. At the village's highest point sits the Old Noble Manor, where you'll meet a man inside claiming to be the Thief Maister named Flaude.
Flaude rewards you with a rare Thief skill, Formless Feint, and provides a scroll named 
Legend's Opus . This scroll enables the Thief Vocation to learn the Blades of the Pyre ability.
Ensure you explore all dialogue options with Flaude, especially the final one marked with a yellow diamond that prompts you to “Ask about brass.” He reveals that the Nameless Village is essentially a Thief Town and expresses ignorance regarding Arthur.

For those equipped with the Thief Vocation, navigating this obstacle course becomes significantly more manageable. Designed as a training ground for thieves, it involves completing a series of straightforward parkour-like challenges.
To cross the room, you must traverse the seesaw-like wooden platforms, which tip if you linger too long on one side, causing you to slide off. Thieves can expedite crossing by swiftly utilizing the dash ability to move across and leap from the platforms. Failure is not penalized, allowing unlimited attempts. For players of other Dragon's Dogma 2 character classes, aim to land in the center of each platform during jumps to avoid tipping and falling.
The next challenge introduces swinging bags of rocks onto an identical obstacle course. If these prove troublesome, switching your Vocation to a Mage at the local inn allows you to use the levitate ability to circumvent the obstacle. Successfully navigating past these tests leads you to the chamber of the true Thief-Maister, Srail.
The False Sovran's Location
Infiltrate The Masquerade Ball
Upon conversing with Srail, you learn that Arthur, the False Sovran, previously named Darragh, originally from the Nameless Village, has fled. This information clarifies that the false Sovran is different from what Brant speculated.
To pursue him, progress through 'The Stolen Throne' quest, provided through a visual guide by ConCon on YouTube. You must find an outfit for the Masquerade to infiltrate the ball, which will lead you to Chateau Bordelrie, where a cutscene will unveil the False Sovran's true identity.
Srail discloses that Durragh exploited a chest injury as 'evidence' of being the Arisen. This deceit led to the villagers despising him for forsaking his principles for the ease of an impostor's life. With no reservations, Srail provides you with Darragh’s Bill of Arrest, featuring a wanted poster bearing his likeness, alongside the Pilferer’s Handbook.
After fully exhausting Srail's dialogue, scour the room for any items available for the taking. When you're ready to leave, exit through the door on the left to discover a hallway brimming with treasure chests. Ensure to loot them all to acquire valuable Thief gear, such as the Peltflayers and Thief's Gaiters.
Following this interaction, ascend the stairs leading back to the Nameless Village. Utilize a Portcrystal in Dragon's Dogma 2 or simply walk to return to Vernworth and present Darragh’s Bill of Arrest to Brant, sharing the insights you've gathered.
